Our specialty is older, retired horses. We want to provide them with a quiet environment, good pasture, and excellent care. Senior horses require extra attention, and we are here to keep a close eye on them. Whether it’s making sure they have extra time to eat their grain, soaking their feed, or giving the daily medications and supplements that come with senior horses, we have the set up to help your horse thrive.
All of our boarded horses receive the highest level of care every single day. We offer a senior feed (fed twice a day) and round bales during the winter. For feeding, we have a mixed system, with some horses being fed together as a group, as well as separating some horses into a pen to ensure they have plenty of time to eat their feed without another horse joining them. If your horse is on supplements or needs extra feed, we are more than happy to separate them at each feeding in a pen, so that we can be sure they are getting the necessary feed and medication at every meal.
We also provide loose mineral and loose salt in the loafing shed, so the horses always have access to both. Our loafing shed is 13’x36’, giving all the horses plenty of room to go inside and get out of the wind or rain.
Round bales are fed in a horse-safe hay ring, and horses will have free choice access to round bales throughout the winter. Historically, our pasture has enough grass that the horses are convinced that hay is a last resort - regardless, they will have it available.
Blanketing, fly masks/boots, and holding for the farrier are all included in the price per month (owners must provide equipment and are responsible for farrier costs for their horse). We look over every horse daily to check for any injuries or signs of illness, which get communicated to the respective owner as soon as possible.
This pricing allows your board bill will stay the same each month - no hay surcharges, no pro-rating out during the winter - it will always be $350 per month, outside of any farrier/vet charges.
Our chickens are free-range, supplemented with layer feed. They are healthy and happy chickens, and our eating eggs have the added fun of being a rainbow dozen! Because of our diverse flock, we have blue, green, tan, and dark brown eggs in almost every dozen (depending on the hens’ discretion).
If purchasing eggs, please be aware that we offer a $1/dozen discount if you are paying in cash at time of pick up. If you are paying online, the price of $5/dozen still stands, due to the extra fees associated with online payments.
At this time, we do not offer discounts for trading in empty egg cartons, but we are open to trades/bartering for other products!
We’ve got a variety of day-old chicks available seasonally. We offer both Easter Eggers (Cream Legbar roosters over a variety of white and brown egg layers- these chicks will have colorful egg laying genetics, helping you get that rainbow dozen you’ve been looking for!) and purebred Cream Legbar chicks. Easter Eggers are available as Straight Run only, where the Cream Legbars are available as sexed pullets. Availability will be updated routinely - currently not hatching until next year
WE DO NOT SHIP LIVE CHICKS
Our Easter Egger Hatching Eggs come from a variety of brown-egg laying hens - yes, these eggs are brown, but the babies inside will lay blue or green eggs, depending on the how dark brown their egg is! Because all of our hens are with purebred Cream Legbar roosters, our hatching eggs all have color egg laying genetics. This means that the white and lighter brown eggs will hatch into babies that will lay blue eggs, and the darker brown eggs will hatch into babies that will have the genetics to lay medium to dark green eggs!
We often use brown egg layer hens to produce our Easter Eggers, because that helps give the Easter Egger babies a better laying rate once they mature, compared to the Cream Legbars that don’t lay quite as heavily as some of the heritage or commercial breeds. While our flock varies year to year, our brown egg layers normally include the following
-Barred Rocks
-California Greys and White
-Golden Comets
-Buff Orpingtons
-Bielefelders
-Black and Red Sex Links
-Easter Eggers (green egg layers bred and born on the farm)
Price and Quantity are per dozen (Qty 1 will be one dozen eggs and show as $20)
Our Cream Legbar flock has been sourced and grown for several years now, with influences from several high-end breeding farms, including Greenfire Lines. These are consistently laying blue eggs, with an occasional turquoise layer popping up. We do not have any that have laid a green egg, as those have been removed from our program.
Our hens and roosters are very laid back, with several previous customers reporting back that our flock produced the most calm Cream Legbars they’ve been around. While this is a more active breed, I try to select the most mild-mannered roosters (no ugly behavior tolerated), and the hens tend to be docile as well. While they aren’t quite as inclined to perch on your shoulder like a Silkie might, they are quite laid back compared to most hatchery Cream Legbar stock - they will be fine in an enclosed space long-term, without getting too feisty.
Price and quantity listed is per dozen (Qty 1 will be one dozen eggs and $25)
Our Katahdin sheep are almost exclusively pasture raised. The main exception to this is the alfalfa that pregnant ewes and new moms are given, to support milk production for their lambs. Otherwise, we do occasionally offer cracked corn to our flock, but only as a treat, and most of the time, they only eat a handful before wandering off to find their preferred food - fresh green grass!
We have a commercial flock of purebred Katahdins currently. Our ewes are excellent mothers, who routinely have triplets without being flushed prior to breeding, and they keep all of their lambs fat and happy with milk, until they are old enough to be weaned. We are working to add a registered Katahdin ram to our flock for next year, so keep tuned for updates on that!
We only have a small flock, so we have very limited availability on sheep for sale throughout the year.
If you are looking for breeding stock, please reach out with any specifications that you are wanting, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
If you are looking for lamb for the freezer, send us an email and we will discuss options with you! Again, stock is limited, so get in touch now and we can prioritize you on our list of upcoming lambs.

Our Jumbo Coturnix Quail provide us with an abundance of nutrient-dense eggs, with a rich yolk and a higher ratio of B vitamins, compared to chicken eggs. A delicacy in some areas, quail eggs add a unique twist to any dish!
Our quail are raised in a tractor-style set up, keeping them low to the ground and giving them access to grass, bugs, and seeds on the ground. They enjoy all the benefits of being free range, without the risk of predators.
